MORE THAN 30,000 people are expected to descend on Scone Palace from today as the ever popular Scottish Game Fair returns to Perthshire.
Yesterday, models Mel and Jacqui had a go at clay shooting, fly casting and gun dog handling—just some of the attractions the public can expect to see.
Hundreds of trade stands will feature during the three-day event and a huge host of entertainment is planned.
Visitors will be invited to try their hand at a range of activities, including archery, quad biking and air rifle shooting.
Spectators will also be able to enjoy pipe bands, falconry displays, terrier racing and a fiercely contested tug o’ war featuring a Scottish women’s rugby union team against a young farmers club select.
Those with a strong competitive spirit will also be catered for, with numerous shooting, gun dog and fishing contests.
A number of crowd-pleasing main ring events will include the 1815 musketry and drill re- enactment group and the enticingly titled Quack Commandos.
Meanwhile, unusual and delicious delicacies, ranging from oysters and shark to salamis and wild boar, will ensure visitors to the food hall do not go hungry.
A bar is also available on site to provide the obligatory liquid refreshments.
The fair will run from 9.30am to 6pm today, tomorrow and Sunday.
