Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Salmon Fishing on the Lower Tay October 2012.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Salmon Fishing on the Lower Tay October 2012.

Conditions were good on the river today and there was high expectations after the lift in water yesterday. Did it live up to the expectations? Well that was highly debatable but there was still some notable catches.
Oliver Beham arrived from London this morning as keen as mustard and was playing a Tay salmon in the early afternoon on the lower Tay Benchil beat just below Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland on a devon.

Olive landed this 12 pounds salmon and then released it back to the river.

Up on the Catholes Bob Hunter caught this 10 pounds autumn salmon in the Back Dam from the boat which was released.

Oliver was soon into another good fish later in the afternoon in the White Craigs on Benchil.

It turned out to be a 23 pounds hen salmon which was released. Certainly a memorable afternoon for Oliver.
