Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland January 2010.
This was the picture at Stanley Mills today on the river Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. This was last thing as the light was going and the Moon was in the sky.
It was a very cold day with a bitterly north wind blowing. The river was in perfect condition with a clear water and a river temperature of 37F or 2C but a dropping pressure. Jim Last is the only one to post a spring fish catch today at Waulkmill with a lovely 8 pounds springer carefully returned as all Tay springers are being returned up to the end of May in 2010.
Maybe tomorrow will bring some more catches on the Tay.
