Salmon Fishing Scotland River Tay, Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland in Winter 2010.

Salmon Fishing Scotland River Tay, Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland in Winter 2010.

These are some snowy pictures of the river Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. It is now being said that it is the coldest winter for 100 years and that there could be a Grand Match for Curling which last happened in 1979.
We are now only just over a week away from the opening of the Tay Salmon fishing season 2010 and conditions as cold as it is at the moment will certainley benifit the lower Tay especially at and around Stanley.
The river Tay opening ceremony at Dunkeld this year should be spectacle in the snow and an event everyone is looking forward on the Tay.

The Catholes hut on a very cold snowy day recently.

Looking down on Pitlochrie pool in a blizzard.

The bottom of the Catholes beat just above Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.
