when do we expect the main grilse run. i would like to book a day or two pretty soon but i am waiting for the run to begin to up my chances. Reg, Doncaster

You might have to wait a while on the Tay. Have you considered the Dee or Tweed!

Too late,you've missed the grilse run it was caught last thursday, see photo. Never mind the kipper run could be underway soon

Not sure, i was up a number of years ago and the Grilse run was fantastic. That was first week in August. Seems i may need to go Rainbow bashing. Reg, Doncaster

Hi Reg! You obviously mean rainbow trout fishing. Could I maybe suggest the Willowgate Fishery on the outskirts of Perth! There you will get to sample some of the finest rainbow bashing you could imagine! You also get to see some amazing wildlife including grey seals, cormorants and goosanders. I can hear you now!
