Superb day for Guy Newell fly fishing on the Pitlochrie beat.

Guy Newell lands his first spring salmon fly fishing from the bank in a cast known as Flemings head which is at the top of the Woodside on the Pitlochrie beat below Stanley Mill at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

The fresh 9 pounds sea liced fish was released back to the river.

15 minutes later Guy hooked another spring salmon further down the Woodside fly fishing on an intermediate fly line and a size 4 fly.

Again the salmon was carrying sea lice and weighed 8 pounds.

Guy released the salmon carefully back to the river. That was our 50th fish of the spring. It has been a memorable season so far. Well done Guy.
