Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire March 2014.
The river Tay in Perthshire, Scotland got off to a slow start this week with rising water levels yet again but it was not long into the day that things picked up and there was some stories to tell as the water settled and started to drop.
The end of last week at last saw some action as the river settled.
Some action memories of a spring salmon fishing week in late February on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland. The river levels finally dropped and the catches returned.
This week got off to flyer with over 20 spring salmon registered on Monday up to an impressive 22 pounds with Taymount catching 5 and Murthly 2 landing 4 for their days. Hopefully the weather will remain settled and it will turn out to be a week to remember.
It was not long into Monday morning when team Sweden started to catch at Stanley on the fly.
This was Lars Persson with his second spring salmon of the morning from the Minister pool below Stanley Mills which was covered with sea lice. Hopefully it will be a good week for the river.
