Conditions on the river Tay, Perthshire, Scotland were not easy with a rising water for most of the day after rain and mild weather. Fly fishing in big water is never easy but in rising water as well the catch is not expected however how wrong we were on the Catholes today with 4 spring salmon landed and one lost

This was Robin Johansen with a 9 pounds springer caught on a Sun Ray in the Back Dam from the boat.


The salmon was carefully released.


Jim Inefall with a superb 10 pounds springer caught in the Woodside again on the fly.
