Salmon Fishing Scotland Superb May Salmon fishing on the Tay, Perthshire 2015.
The Tay in Perthshire is on fire for Spring salmon fishing currently with superb catches of Salmon and Sea trout. The fish are in superb condition as well which is great to see. Salmon and Sea Trout were caught throughout the system yesterday with the Murthly beats landing 8 salmon between them and Dunkeld House having a red letter day with an incredible 11.
This was one of the Dunkeld house red letter day, 11 fish landed, and 3 lost, successful anglers included James Podmore with a 7lbs in the Rock pool which was his first salmon, Neil Turner landed 3 up to 10 pounds from the Gauge pool, Bill Silvering from USA caught 2 up to 14 pounds, Peter Jones had a 14 pounder in the Gauge Pool, Nick Jenkins caught 2 in the Gauge pool, Gordon Pollock and Simon Furniss also caught fish. What a day!
Islamouth is fishing well currently and have just passed 100 fish for the season. This is James Cuthbert with an 11 pounds beauty from from Long Head pool.
This is TGA chairman and Ghillie at Ballathie holding Nette Booth's first ever salmon caught recently, Robert Booth reported that "it weighed 8 pounds, she then caught her second fish in the afternoon weighing in at 9.5 pounds, my son Samuel caught his first ever salmon weighing in at 10 pounds, all the fish were caught hauling on the Ballathie timeshare and it was our second year as new owners of 3 rods, having blanked the first year this was a pleasant surprise, I only managed to hook a decent sized fish only to lose it in about 7 minutes on a salmo lure." Thanks Robert, I am glad you enjoyed your recent experience on the Tay.
