Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire May 2015.
The current spring salmon fishing week has been good so far despite some very inclement weather and unsettled river levels. May is progressing well with good catches after a successful April. So far this week the best part of 50 salmon have been registered with hopefully lots more to come as the river settles down with improving weather.
A cracking 10 pounds salmon caught in the Steps pool of the Newtyle beat by Steve Robbins. The picture shows the inclement weather but Steve persevered and landed his fish on the fly.
A cracking fresh run salmon from the Upper Tay on the Taymouth Castle beat caught by Ian Griffin. This was on of 2 fish Ian landed up to 14 pounds.
A young Adam Broughton with a 7 pounder from Dunkeld House. It is great to see young anglers having success.
A fish successfully swimming away after being released by Ian Griffin at Kenmore.
