Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon fly fishing on Cortachy, South Esk 2015.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon fly fishing on Cortachy, South Esk 2015.

The South Esk is a small river in Angus amongst picturesque surroundings and can produce some great spring sport at this time of year. This is certainly the case on the Cortachy beat near Kirriemuir.
The beat is fly only but it has some mouth watering pools to fish with high expectation.

A superb 12 pounds spring salmon prior to release. Well done Calum, hopefully now lots more to come on the fly.
