April has seen a rise in temperatures which seems to have triggered a run of spring salmon into the river Tay in Perthshire, Scotland.
This is Neil Gordon releasing a lovely fresh 10 pounds spring salmon from the Benchil beat on the Upper Scone fishings.

A superb 17 pounds salmon caught by John Morris on Stobhall at Upper Eels Briggs on a Copper Tay Lure harling. This was John's first ever salmon. Congratulations John, welcome to salmon fishing.

Betty Jarvis with a lovely 9 pounds springer caught harling in the Red Rocks on the Taymount beat.
