It's a shame that neither the angler or the assistant paid any attention to the grayling floating belly up after it's "release".
reminds me of the old joke - catch, kill and release.
In answer to your very valid concerns; Yes, I took the time to revive the grayling right after its release (unfortunately the camera stopped filming), and it swam away just fine (a dead fish is not the goal and would be completely unacceptable)...
