Salmon Fishing Scotland June Salmon Fishing on the Tay 2009.
Last week the river Tay hosted Jim Davidson and Steven Lamprell for the prestigious Tay Conservation dinner which was held at Ballathie House Hotel.
On the Thursday I was lucky to take Jim and Steve to the Meikleour beat of the Tay as a guest of the owners Sam and Claire Mercer-Nairn.
This was Jim Davidson fly fishing in the Castle stream which is one of the best casts in the entire Tay.
The surroundings are magical and the expectation is high.
It is not long before the line tightens and Jim is playing a lively Sea Trout.
The Sea Trout was landed and a quick picture was taken before releasing it back to the river.
The boat anchored of the mouth of the river Isla.
