Salmon Fishing Scotland The Tay Conservation Dinner 2009.
These are pictures of the recently held Tay Conservation Dinner held at the Ballathie House Hotel on 11th June 2009.
This is Auctioneer David Leggat M.B.E from United Auctions doing the Tay Foundation Auction for various projects on the river.
There were some outstanding lots which raised a considerable amount for the river Tay.
A large thank you must go out to the donators and to the bidders for raising funds for our river.
This is Jim Davidson announcing the Tay Conservation Award to the Tay Ghillies for their contribution towards the Tay Catch and Release policy which has well and truly taken off.
Some of the Ghillies receiving the award.
The full gang.
Lastly the river boards scientist David Summers giving his slant on the river and where we must go to improve the Tay.
David Summers does a lot for the river and the vast amount goes unnoticed. The Tay is a very complex system with a lot of different problems and it is not until you visit the river Tay that you can understand this.
A truly gifted man who deserves all our support.
