This was the scene at Stanley today (05/02/2009)with heavy snow showers. We had one kelt fly fishing from the bank and a couple of close calls with potential springers. Geordie had a salmon on the line in Pitlochrie pool which played very hard and was lost after 5 minutes going round a snag. I had a hold of a salmon in the Wash House casting the fly from the boat but could not say for definite if it was a spring salmon as it was a distance from the boat. There is always tomorrow.
