Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fly Fishing on the Stanley Beats, Tay, Perthshire 2020. 

We have had a few memorable days on the Stanley Catholes and Pitlochrie beats  this week. The conditions are perfect with high cold water making any salmon travel slowly through the beats. This is Darren Kaye fly fishing from an anchored boat in the Back Dam of the Catholes.

A superb sea liced springer caught in Pitlochrie Pool by John Shaw fly fishing from the bank. It was estimated at 25 pounds and you can tell its a big salmon with John not managing to get his hand round the wrist of its tail.

Darren Kaye with an 8 pounds spring salmon caught fly fishing in the Woodside at the top of the Catholes, again sea liced. That is now 9 springers off the beats and 8 have been caught fly fishing from the anchored boat or bank fishing. Hopefully a few more to come this spring.
