The first Tay Springer was landed on the Catholes beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland this season today (17/01/2009) by Danny Fulton from Renfrew.
Danny hooks the fresh spring salmon in the Woodside pool just below Stanley weir on a Yellow belly devon.
The salmon is successfully netted by Ghillie Cohn O'Dea.
The salmon is carefully unhooked prior to being returned to the river.
