Salmon Fishing Scotland River Tay Opening Day At Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

Salmon Fishing Scotland River Tay Opening Day At Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.
These are some pictures of our opening day on the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. There were a number of salmon caught during the day but unfortunately we did not land any fresh clean run spring salmon. The salmon that were landed were Kelts, Baggots and Rawners.

Peter playing a 17 pounds Baggot in the Wash house.

A good lunch in the Wash house hut supplied by Neil and Jo from the local Tayside Hotel.

The start of the afternoon saw this Kelt being played in the Wash House on the Fly by Sheena Cookson.

The girls were at it again at the back of the mill with another Kelt on the fly this time landed by Jo from the hotel.

Lastly Sheena plays the last salmon in front of the mill on the fly again. The girls had a tremendous day landing 7 fish between them. Haste ye back for that elusive bar of silver, The Tay Springer.
