Salmon Fishing Scotland Salmon Eggs in the Classroom.
STANLEY PRIMARY School pupils did their bit for the local environment when they released dozens of young salmon alevins into the Tay yesterday.
The P5 and 6 youngsters have been taking part in the salmon in the classroom project and have raised the fish from eggs in special tanks at the school.
Yesterday they travelled the short distance to the Shochie Burn at Luncarty, where they released the young fish to begin their lives in the wild.
The salmon in the classroom project is backed by Scottish Natural Heritage and has seen tanks, cooling systems and eggs placed in primaries across the region.
Stanley Primary School pupils released dozens of young salmon alevins into the River Shochie by the Tay with Perth and Kinross countryside rangers Mandy Cook and Ian Montgomery.

This is what we need, future generations getting interested in wildlife etc.
Well done the kids, also worthy of mention Ian "Monty" Montgomery much better than working in the printing trade.
