Springer caught and released at Pitlochrie Pool on the Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.
This is the view looking up Pitlochrie Pool from the Scone bank at a perfect bank height.
Not wishing to be out done by my senior Ghillie, I managed to hook a fresh spring salmon off the Stanley bank of the Pitlochrie pool which turned out to be 9lbs as well.
The fresh fish was carefully returned to the river. This capped a good day.
