Salmon Fishing Scotland Salmon Season to be opened by Cat Cubie on the Tay, Perthshire, Scotland 2013.
THE RIVER TAY OPENING DAY GATHERING will be held on Tuesday 15th January 2013 at 9.30am
at the THE HILTON, DUNKELD HOUSE HOTEL.
It has now been announced that Cat Cubie will formally open the Mighty Tay and perform the first cast of the 2013 season.
Cat Cubie is a Scottish TV presenter, broadcaster and writer; best known for presenting the weather on BBC Scotland and Euromillions lottery on BBC 1.
Cat hosts her own show on Real Radio and writes a weekly column in the Evening Express alongside guest presenting and writing for a number of different broadcasters and publications. Cat is also in demand as an experienced event host and compare.
When she's not on stage or in the studio, Cat loves to play in the Scottish Highlands and is a keen skier and walker. She also enjoys heading to sunnier climes to scuba dive or trying her hand at more unusual hobbies like cirus skills and surfing.
Cat supports a number of charities and is currently an ambassador for Breakthrough Breast Cancer and Macmillan Cancer Care.
Also planning to attend the event is the BBC One Show who are going to be doing an article on Ladies and Salmon fishing. There are numerous examples on the Tay when the ladies have excelled over the years with Georgina Ballantine being a fine example.

Also available is a Business Breakfast– 8.00am for 8.30am at a cost of £15 per person or tables of up to 10 guests can be booked - Tickets to the business breakfast are limited and must booked in advance.
