Salmon Fishing Scotland River Tay, Perthshire, Scotland Salmon Season Opening 2013.
There are still a few days until the salmon season opens on the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland but preparations are well and truly under way.
The boats are all being relaunched into the river for the anticipated opening day on this mighty river.
Ready for the off on the famous Wash House pool on the Stanley beats, some of the most productive beats in the spring over the years when spring salmon dominated the river.
After temperatures of 42F plus or 5.5C recently more colder weather is forecast so the river temperature should come down to suit the lower beats into the opening. Spring salmon however could be spread throughout the river after the milder conditions. A more current forecast will appear nearer the big day.
