The Tay has seen more unsettled water levels this week making life difficult but yet the river can produce superb salmon.

This was a 33 pounds monster from the Lower Redgorton beat today caught by David Mustarde on a floating devon. Ghillie Stuart Lean is pictured with the magnificent fish. Alas not on a fly but David had an epic battle with this fish landing it 500 yards downstream. This is a salmon that has run the river earlier in the year and is probably dropping back to run the Almond just below Lower Redgorton.
