Conditions on the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland were much better today after unsettled water yesterday.

It was not long into the day when Bob Hunter was playing a good salmon on the Rapala on the lower Tay Benchil beat just below Stanley.

A superb 18 pounds salmon was landed covered in sea lice. It was a female salmon and it was carefully returned to the river.

Bob was soon into another salmon on the fly from the boat in the Long Shot pool.

A fresh 7 pounds salmon was successfully landed and returned. A superb day, well done Bob.
