Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fly Fishing on the Tay March 2011.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fly Fishing on the Tay March 2011.

Saturday was a bitterly cold snowy day on the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland.

Danny Fulton fly fishing in Horsey at the tail of the Pitlochrie beat.

Despite the adverse conditions Danny persevered fishing a tube fly. At the very tail of the pool he successfully hooked a lively 12 pounds spring salmon which immediately bolted off down the fast water into the Skellies. However with some patience and not being able to feel his fingers with the cold, he coaxed the fish back and landed it. A truly memorable Tay experience for him and well done.
