Salmon Fishing Scotland Spinning for Autumn Salmon 2009.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spinning for Autumn Salmon 2009.

This was the morning action on the lower Tay beat at Benchil below Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

Allan Marr plays a Grilse spinning a Toby Salmo from the Boat in the plain water.

Allan lands the fresh salmon.

Allan plays another fresh grilse from the boat in the Todd holes pool of the Benchil beat.

The fresh run 7 pounds Grilse was covered in sea lice. The salmon was carefully returned.

Martin - I realise from the forum your doing your best. You must be congratulated on the way you manage your beat and the offers you have provided for next spring. Suffice to say I'm not a member of the forum. Fortunately the River Almond is still capable of producing a few fish for which we must be grateful.
PS Who was GREEN ISLANDER on the forum

Martin - Just remember your a top man doing his best. One or two people out there get jealous when they dont catch fish and the green eyed monster takes over! Green Islander was well named!

Today - not alot of fresh fish going through. Pretty quiet on lower river compared with yest. We will see what is about tom and will let you know on Bobs blog if you here tom nite.

Hi Martin

Not alot of fresh fish showing today. The lower river is very quiet apart from the usual fish waiting on a spate from the River Almond
