Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Salmon Fishing on the Tay October 2009.

This was some of the action from the Stanley beats today on the Tay.

Neil French catches a sea liced 17 pounds salmon in the Erics pool of the Catholes beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland on a red devon.

Neil prepares to release the fresh salmon back to the river.

Alistair Sheach holds a fresh Grilse in the net after catching it on a rapala on the lower Tay beat at Benchil. The salmon was carefully released.

Charlotte Gifford holds a fresh 14 pounds autumn salmon which was caught from the boat in the Erics pool on the Catholes.

Scottish Ghillie Cohn O'Dea releases the salmon back to the river.

Is that the same Neil French who many years ago fished the Stanners/Willowgate permit on the Tay?

If it is the same Neil French, I bet he caught more fish on the artisan's water than he does now on the posh stuff.
