Salmon Fishing Scotland September Fly Fishing on the Tay 2009.
This was a memorable catch for David Golding of Canterbury. He had fished all week without a touch when at last on the Saturday morning everything came right. David was fly fishing from the bank in the Horsey pool of the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.
David hooks the salmon on a size 10 raider fly.
The salmon speeds off on a lengthy run.
Another good run by the salmon.
David gives the salmon a bit of side strain.
At last the salmon is netted.
A lovely fresh 15 pounds salmon.
The salmon was a hen fish and we quickly released it back to the river.
