Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon fishing on Tay, Perthshire April 2015.

Spring salmon are running rapidly up the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland with catches right up the system. The current week has started off well with several salmon caught all ready.

The quality of spring salmon has been outstanding as Geoff Coates looks in bewilderment at this 31 pounds fish he caught at Taymount last week prior to release.
This was an 18 pounds beauty caught by Gordon Hanslip fly fishing on the Pitlochry Angling stretch at the Dam.
Walter Norton with a 12 pounds fish from Taymount.
Chris Dixon releasing a 13 pounds spring fish from Dalmarnock. It is so important to release as many spring salmon as possible to protect our sport for the future in these fragile times for our sport.
