Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Fly Fishing 2009.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Fly Fishing 2009.

Steve McGrandles fly fishing in the Black Stones pool of the Catholes beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland with the aid of the boat.

These are typical tube flies for the spring. They will be in my Salmon fly shop in the next few days. They are all aluminium tubes and come in 3 different sizes. (2 inch, 1.5 inches and 1 inch) They are all aluminium tubes to enable you to cast larger flies easily. It is better to have lighter tubes but use fast sinking leaders to take the fly down on the various fly lines available in cold water. Also only use a short leader of about 2 to 3 feet to get the fly to turn over.
