Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Fly Fishing on Tay, Perthshire 2015.
Autumn has well and truly arrived on the Tay, Perthshire and the salmon catches have been consistently good recently with settled conditions and a dropping river. Fly fishing conditions have been excellent with a good run of late grilse and improving salmon numbers.
Yorkshire angler Paul Nichols had a flying visit to the Benchil beat before going onto the Blair Atholl Horse trials and was soon playing a good grilse on the fly from the Long shot.
A fresh run 4 pounder successfully landed.
Not to be outdone by his father, Michael Nichols also had success playing a lively fish from the Little shot casting from an anchored boat.
A lovely fresh run 6 pounds grilse.
The sun sets on another spectacular day on the Tay, Perthshire.
