Despite fairly adverse conditions on the Tay in Perthshire, Scotland with continued summer weather and very low water catches have been achieved but a heartening aspect of the catch is some of the large salmon caught recently.
This was the case last Saturday with an estimated 30 pounds salmon caught at Waulkmill by Mark Bowie. The fish measured 42 inches long and caused great excitement amongst the anglers.
