Salmon Fishing Scotland Spring Salmon Fishing on the Tay System May 2013,
The catches have again been superb this week but with the inclusion of a Tay monster.
Calum McRoberts had a superb morning on the Tummel on the Portnacraig beat at Pitlochry Dam before he had to go to manage the House Of Bruar fishing department which has recently opened. He caught 3 spring salmon weighing 8, 13 and an impressive 20 pounds prior to 8 O'Clock in the morning. Not bad going by any ones standards.
This is the Tay monster! At last another cracking typical Tay spring salmon. A magnificent 36 pounds salmon caught on the Murthly 2 beat today and as fresh as a daisy. It was covered in sea lice and was caught on the harl from the boat. There will be more photos to follow.
