The Tay may not have caught many spring salmon today but there was one caught and it was an absolute beauty and weighed 30 pounds. This is the largest spring salmon from the Tay this year so far and may indicate a run of really big spring fish.
The lucky, talented angler was Craig Binnie who caught this sea liced beauty on a Toby Salmo on the Newtyle beat at Dunkeld, Perthshire in the steps pool. Well done Craig and Newtyle.
