Recently I was sent the slides from the world famous G Loomis Fishing Rod factory tour.



These are the first stages in the rod manufacture.


To build a rod, start with the carbon.


Carbon is cut to size from mandrel drawing.


Carbon is warmed on to the mandrel after which it is rolled onto the mandrels.
