Fly fisherman are often called "snobby" walking all over other people's water!
Spinner
salmon should be caught with respect and dignity. foul hooked, wormed or large piece of metal with fatal consequences sticking out its mouth is vulgar and not apprieciated by the flyfishing guests. ban the cheats and only allow honest methods...
So whats wrong with spinning, when you release the fish they swim off very quickly, they take long time to recover after being landed on the fly.
Modern salmon fly-fishing is only spinning made difficult.
