What a difference a couple of months can make in Highland Scotland. These are pictures taken of the same bit of hill on Invercauld Estate in Aberdeenshire 2 moths apart.
This was at the end of October when i was stocking.
This is the same hill today in mid winter from Glenshee Ski centre.

Winter images on the river Tay recently at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. We have had very cold conditions of the last few days and quite a bit more snow. The temperature has been down at nights to around -12 degrees Celsius and there is above 1 foot of snow laying on the ground with more forecast.

The first white Christmas since 2004 and it will be one to remember. The winter scenery is magical. These are some Christmas day images around Stanley on the river Tay in Perthshire, Scotland.
Stanley Mills in winter sunshine on the Pitlochrie beat of the river Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. Up on the top right of this picture is the famous Pitlochrie pool that never gets any early spring sunshine and can be a very cold place to pursue that elusive Tay Spring Salmon. The Tay opening is not far away now on 15th January 2010.

All are welcome and any proceeds raised will be put back into the river to improve salmon runs in the future in the way of river projects.
