Salmon Fishing Scotland Catch and Release August 2008.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Catch and Release August 2008.
We at Stanley fishings are trying to do our bit to conserve as many salmon as possible.
The current Tay Guide lines on Catch and release are to release all hen fish, any coloured fish and alternative cock fish. Also precious to the system are large Cock fish over 15 pounds.

This was our Ghillie Cohn O'Dae carefully preparing to release a good salmon on the Luncarty beat.

The salmon swims off with little harm.

Peter Sowerby with a fresh salmon from the Catholes beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland. This fish was released as well.

Surely a river the size of the Tay is large enoungh to accommodate all the indigenous species without persecution, also the best way for a balanced and healthy ecology.
