Salmon Fishing Scotland April 2008 Spring Fly Fishing on the Tay.

Salmon Fishing Scotland April 2008 Spring Fly Fishing on the Tay.

Neil French from London fly fishing in the Wash house pool on the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland on a lovely spring day at the start of April.
After the big rise in the water yesterday the river started to settle back nicely to-day. There were 2 fish lost in the morning and the rest of the day was hard work with little activity. However Neil French rescued the day and successfully landed a fresh 9lbs spring salmon from the Horsey pool late in the day spinning a devon from the bank. The salmon was released back to the river. Well done Neil.

Neil,

Well done! Worth staying on late. My luck wasn't in today but there is always next time.

Cheers James
