Salmon Fishing Scotland Autumn Fishing on the Tay, Perthshire October 2014.
The recent rains have brought the river up,cooled it down and livened the fish up at long last. It was another good day on the river with over 100 fish landed after the river settled down after the spate on Tuesday.
On Benchil just below Stanley on the lower river today it was not long before Gary Manley hooked into a good autumn salmon in the Aitken Head pool.
The salmon was successfully landed with the aid of ghillie Calum King.
Another good fish for Gary, this time from the Todd holes.
Gary playing a good fish from the boat in the Todd holes.
A typical 12 pounds autumn Tay salmon.
Calum and Gary with a good fish from the Long Shot caught on a Rapala. It was a superb day and long coming this season! Hopefully more to come in the last few weeks of the season.
