The river Tay, Perthshire, Scotland was swollen with flood water today after the wild weather of the last few days and running at 9 feet at the start of the day. The river was dropping and clearing giving an air of optimism.

This is the famous Pitlochrie pool at Stanley which can fish well in a big water.

Graham Maunder caught this cracking 18 pounds fresh autumn salmon from Pitlochrie pool on a flying C with the help of ghillie Jimmy Chim.
