Salmon Fishing Scotland Catching Autumn Salmon on the Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland August 2009.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Catching Autumn Salmon on the Tay at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland August 2009.

Dougie Owen had a memorable morning in the boat on the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland today(25/08/2009). For good measure Dougie is 89 years young!
All the salmon were caught in the Wash house pool spinning from the boat.

This was his last fish of the morning which took a devon and ran down through the fast water at the tail of the pool. We had to land the fresh 11 pounds salmon down river in front of Stanley mills.

Dougie playing another good salmon on a devon from the boat.

This was an older fish weighing 12 pounds which was carefully returned to the river.

Dougie hooks his first salmon of the morning on a flying C.

The fresh 9 pounds salmon played very hard.

In the net at last. The fresh hen salmon covered in sea lice was returned.
