Salmon Fishing Scotland Ladies Day Spring Salmon Fishing on the Tay.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Ladies Day Spring Salmon Fishing on the Tay.

There was a ladies day at Taymount beat on the Tay just above Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland last monday.

The ladies included Charlotte Gifford, Penny Scott, Celia Temple, Lorna Bromley-Martin and host Miranda Linsay. As we all know the ladies always catch because of all the pheromones they emit! Could this be the case last monday? Conditions were not good with it being very windy.

Despite the adverse conditions the ladies struck. This is Charlotte Gifford playing a fresh run spring salmon from the boat in the Stank end pool of the upper Taymount beat on the fly. The salmon took a Temple dog fly fished from the boat with expert guidance from Scottish Ghillie Geordie Maitland.

Geordie quickly unhooks the 11 pounds spring salmon.

A quick picture of the prize and then it was carefully returned to the river.
The ladies had another 2 Kelts for their day for good measure.
It was a very enjoyable day on the river.
