This was Saturday Evening for me for an hour and a half.

As the light starts to go i am nearing the tail of the Long Shot fly fishing from the bank on the lower Tay beat at Benchil just below Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

A few minutes later i hook a good salmon on my Black shrimp fly. After a monumental struggle trying to keep the fish in the pool and getting 3 tremendous runs off the fish i was able to land a stunning 14 pounds bar of silver.

Slightly earlier this is me hooking a smaller salmon.

A good tussle ensued.

I managed to land the fish. It was a typical Autumn salmon of about 8 pounds which i quickly returned to the river.
