Salmon Fishing Scotland Wild Life at Stanley Perthshire Scotland.
This is a Greater Spotted Woodpecker (female) which comes to our nut hanger all day at the moment. The nuts are disappearing fast as it feeds its young not far away. Geordie always makes the comment when the Woodpecker is about that the "gentlemen better keep their hats on!" I think it all ready has got to him! oops!

A woodpecker is the only kind of "pecker" you will know anything about, but nevertheless, keep what ever you have UP!
