Salmon Fishing Scotland Salmon Fly Fishing on the Spey 2010.

Salmon Fishing Scotland Salmon Fly Fishing on the Spey 2010.

Recently I had a visit to the Castle beat on the lower Spey at Fochabers, Moray, Scotland. It was good to fish on a different river and visit a new bit of Spey which i had not fished before. The Castle beat is part of the Brae beats at the bottom of the Spey system with an excellent Scottish Ghillie in Euan Reid and it offered great fly fishing.

As luck would have it I managed to hook a salmon.

Euan carefully unhooks the salmon.

A lovely fresh sea liced 7 pound Spey salmon.

Back the fish goes. Thank you Euan for a great time despite the salmon being scarce.
