Salmon Fishing Scotland May 2010 on the Tay.

Salmon Fishing Scotland May 2010 on the Tay.

These were some of the activities on the river Tay in Perthshire, Scotland today on the first day of May 2010.

Steven Watt from Perth had another great day on the Tummel at Pornacraig today fly fishing. This is Steven with a lovely 12 pound spring salmon from the Pitlochry Angling Club water. He went on to land another salmon of 14 pounds fly fishing the same stretch.

Fly fishing for Trout on the Tay at Benchil. There are good hatches of flies at the moment on the river and these are excellent conditions for a bit of dry fly fishing or even wet fly fishing.

A Brown Trout is landed on a Dry fly at Benchil.

The first ducks hatch and take to the river at Benchil just below Stanley.

Watch that trout fisher from Darvel, he has a tendency to resort to the sweetcorn, Jolly Green Giant being his favourite brand!
