As the temperatures plummet in Perthshire, Scotland the river Tay starts to freeze up with Ice flows. These are some of the images today on the river.

This was the Horsey pool on the Pitlochrie beat at Stanley, Perthshire, Scotland.

It was another bitterly cold day in Perthshire, Scotland today by our standards. I drove up to Dunkeld this morning and the temperature gauge in the car read -18 at one stage. The snow scenery is breath taking. These are a few pictures from bridges crossing the mighty Tay in severe temperatures.

Perthshire was hit by yet more snow this morning. It snowed nearly every day last week and it is making getting around very difficult despite great efforts to clear the snow.
One farmer was heard to say to-day that it was getting close to the fall of 1947.
